Mini Seedcamp – 16.6.2010

seedcamp

Seedcamp is planning to hold 8 Mini Seedcamps in 2010 and expanding their geographical coverage (Spain is new) and doubling-down on the traditionally under-served regions of the Balkans and Eastern Europe. The planned date for Berlin is the 16th June.

Can only local teams apply to a Mini Seedcamp?
No, each Mini Seedcamp is open to anyone. In fact they encourage teams to apply from across the region. Last year they had a Romanian team in Paris, an Israeli team in Sweden and an Estonian company in London. We are blessed with short flights and great low cost airlines in Europe, so take advantage and come along to which every event you want – in fact some teams successfully applied to more than one last year and learnt a lot along the way.

What happens if you are a top team at Mini Seedcamp?
The top teams from each Mini Seedcamp in 2010 will go directly into a final selection process in July of up to 40 teams for investment – in some rare cases they may invest in teams directly after a Mini Seedcamp. At the end of the final selection process in July they will choose the top teams to invest in.

Why are Mini Seedcamps valuable to teams and the seedcamp organizers?
Other than the awesome mentoring and validation teams get at the Mini Seedcamps, 60% of teams who come through to Seedcamp Week came from a Mini Seedcamp and 50% of teams they invest in they met at a Mini Seedcamp.

Team applications ARE OPEN! The deadline is midnight, 25th May

Seedcamp – 9.6.2009

seedcamp

Mini Seedcamp Berlin is a one day event aiming to connect the 20 best web-tech, mobile and software talent with some of the leading entrepreneurs, developers, and experts from the European tech ecosystem.

Seedcamp was in Berlin last year and we were very impressed by the startups, in fact two teams, Tosksta and Soup, went on to be a Seedcamp Week 2008 winner! So, we are encouraging strong, quality startups from the DACH region to apply including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and thought we’d extend the invitation to Italy too. Continuing our open door policy, any EMEA-based startup with the next big web tech idea can also apply.

We will be bringing together 20 of the region’s best seed stage tech start-ups with experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and developers from Germany and all over Europe to participate in a day of intense mentoring, panel discussions and presentations at the super-cool Berlin School of Economics.

Check out our blog posts, videos and follow us on Twitter to see what we’re looking for, what teams get out of it and what you can do to improve your chances in winning a spot at one of the most prestigious and rewarding web tech events in Europe today. Spending the time to fill out the application comprehensively is key and communicating to us clearly your idea and strengths of your team is critical for consideration, so no skimping here!

As a team in Mini Seedcamp Berlin you will:
