Jeder kann teilnehmen, aber Männer können nur dann, wenn sie von einer Frau eingeladen werden. Die BerlinWebWeek als Veranstaltungsportal läuft über das Jahr hinweg, die “Real Life”-Version als Veranstaltungswoche wird hiermit in diesem Jahr wieder Realität:

Die BerlinWebWeek Spring Edition findet Ende Mai 2009 statt. Die Gespräche zur Vorbereitung sind gut gelaufen und es zeigt sich, dass die BerlinWebWeek Tage wieder mit soviel Events vollgepackt sein wird, dass es sich lohnt, in die Hauptstadt zu reisen oder einige Tage einfach da zu bleiben. Ende 2008 hat die WebWeek schon einmal stattgefunden, hier ein Rückblick.

Beginnen wird die Woche am Wochenende vom 23.5. mit dem ux camp und der blog.de-Party. Die webinale als Keyevent wird am 25.5. beginnen, ebenso die Internationale PHP Konferenz und die RailsWayCon, am 26.5. beginnt das Frogster Virtual Worlds Camp, es findet der webinale crawl statt, am 27.5. gibt es die Echtzeit Berlin III, das GirlGeekDinner und dann am 28.5. die Zanox Summer Party, am 29.5. der Open Coffee Club und ab 29.5., am Wochenende, gibt es das Second Life Community Meeting und am 31.5. das BizzIn3D Meetup.

If you like to attend the Girl Geek Dinner Berlin on Oct 20th 2008, add yourself and have a look at who else is attending on the guest list. Please also submit the form if you are the invited guest so we can link to you as well. Event is free to attend and a social meetup in a nice cafe called Coffe Karma.

It is Web 2.0 Expo time again and that means, also the Girl Geek Dinner comes back! Put in the middle of a crazy week full of events: On Monday, Oct 20th, we will party at Coffe Karma.

Same procedure as every year …
GGD is in the middle of this week for the same reason it was last year: because it is a great chance to get together an international crowd of people. And we are sure that at least half of the attendees will be twittering this year. ;) What is that week we are talking about? Simple.

Kicking of with the international Barcamp Berlin 3, going over a Facebook Developper Garage via the Web 2.0 Expo and ending with the after party of the Techcrunch UK / Expo called Latecrunch, a lot of visitors will be in town to meet, ready to meet and party eh network.

Btw: if you are living outside of Germany, there are still a few spaces left on the guest list of the Barcamp and also the FB Dev Garage has some seats left.

What is the GGD about?
For those of you who do not know the Girl Geek Dinner, it is rather simple: It is for men and women – but guys have to be invited by a women. And it is not a dinner, but a social gathering in a cafe / bar for talking and networking. There is no cost of entrance and you for your own drinks.

To attend, please enter yourself here.There is a limited of 80 people and due to the special surrounding of this event, there will be some reserved spots for international guests.

As the guest list gets updated frequently we have put it on a separate page. See here for the guest list for GGD Berlin. It would be great if you also spread the news through upcoming and facebook.

Don’t know anybody?
Like last year, we do expect there to be quite a lot of guys not knowing anybody local to ask to accompany them. It would be great if some of the females who do not yet have a guest could offer their help. There is nothing involved in being the inviting person other than that you cannot have another guest – you do not even need to talk to that person. ;) If you are a guy without an inviting women yet, please leave a comment here, so a women can *cough* pick you up.

How to get there:
Take the S-Bahn to Ostkreuz and then head for Sonntagstraße. Walk down the street full with bars and cafes until you get to number 30, which you will find on the left side.
