Alle zwei Monate treffen sich Experten und Interessierte aus den Bereichen IT, Kommunikation, Marketing und Business Innovation in Berlin zum “Social Web Breakfast”.

“Politiker zum Greifen bzw. Interagieren nahe” – so oder ähnlich lässt sich das neue Schlagwort “Politik 2.0″ beschreiben, was im Zuge des US-amerikanischen und auch bevorstehenden bundesdeutschen Wahlkampfes ein aktuelles Thema für Politik und Gesellschaft ist. Sei es mit Communitys (siehe hierzu auch das Social Web Breakfast vom 18.06. mit Wolfram Sauer von der FDP) oder halt mit eigenen Weblogs, Twitter-Acounts und anderen direkten Interaktionswerkzeugen des Web 2.0 – der “moderne” Politiker von heute kommuniziert authentisch und dialogorientiert. Ein Exemplar dieses neuen Politikertypus ist Julia Seeliger von den Grünen, die über ihr Weblog, Twitter, Flickr, XING, Facebook oder myspace direkt “ansprechbar” ist.

Welchen Typus Politiker dieser Ansatz bedarf, welche Ideen und Erwartungen hinter dieser Form der Kommunikation stecken und welche Erfahrungen damit gemacht wurden – das sind die Fragen, die Julia Seeliger beim kommenden Social Web Breakfast in Berlin beantworten wird.

The pioneers of the 2.0 world innovate so quickly that it’s difficult to stay abreast of new developments and trends. Meanwhile, the true depth of the impact of the Web 2.0 movement is just beginning to show in the enterprise, as companies move cautiously towards 2.0 technologies, processes, marketing strategies and ways of thinking.

Ideas and techniques presented at the conference are designed to be applied by all delegates – whether from corporate, startup, or independent settings – across different markets and situations.

Like last year, Barcamp Berlin will be the kick-off to a whole week full of events in Berlin from October 18th to October 24th when the international Web 2.0 scene meets in Berlin.

The week starts on Friday evening with the Barcamp Berlin Warm-Up Party and continues on Saturday and Sunday with the Barcamp Unconference. The Barcamp is then followed by the Facebook Developer Garage on Monday and the Web 2.0 Expo Europe starting on Tuesday with visitors not only from Europe. This will be a week to remember and one you do not want to miss out on.

The BarCamp Berlin 3 will take place at the “Hauptstadtrepräsentanz” (Berlin Representative Office) of the Deutsche Telekom. It’s located right in the center of the city. It offers a huge amount of space, modern technological infrastructure and at the same time a rich sense of history: It has been an important building for German telecommunications since the 19th century and the former residence of the “Kaiserliches Haupttelegraphenamt” (Imperial Head Office of Telegraphy). Furthermore, the first German telephone line was established here in 1877.

The Barcamp will be attended by likely 300-500 people and has set aside a certain amount of places to make sure international visitors can take part. Please note that you will need to register on the link above in order to sign up for the Barcamp.
